A Real Transition This Holy Week for This Blogger

Halleluia, many good things are happenings to this blogger, as we enter the Holy Week 2010.

This is the final transition week for the Department of Agriculture - Bureau of Postharvest Research and Extension (BPRE), as it will take a new name starting April 1 - PHILIPPINE CENTER FOR POSTHARVEST DEVELOPMENT AND MECHANIZATION (PHMech).

For final official work with BPRE, this blogger will evaluate some Flatbed Dryer distributed in Or. Mindoro under ACEF (Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund), which schedule coincides with a long Lenten break in my hometown.

Another God-praising thing happened this week is, this is my last week, technically, in the government service as one of the rationalized officer of this Bureau. The Budget department has released the incentive pay of those rationalized staff including myself. Indeed, hefty amount of retirement pay is one of the reasons for leaving the Service sooner than the usual age. This will enable one to enjoy the fruits of his labor, while he is still in the best of health and shape.

Meanwhile, welcome PHMech! Here's wishing this newly metamorphosed R & D agency more power to carry out its mandate among its stakeholders. And as we leave BPRE, the new PHMech will honor on April 7 nineteen (19) rationalized staff in a day-long activities to include ecumenical service, tree-planting and a Banqueth Night.

Finally, I join my network members in observing this blessed week commemorating the passion, death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus-Christ...that men may live forever more. (JSF Blogs)
