23 March 2010, Sto. Tomas, SJC, Nueva Ecija - Great things happen today as wife Rosalina celebrated her 57th birthday in a simple dinner date with her immediate family at the Chowking Fastfood in San Jose City. This is a sequel of another simple merienda fellowship last Sunday, March 21, where the celebrator treated the flocks in this local congregation, where Rose serves as deaconess, with pancit and cold tea.
On this very day, we received a bookful of Balikbayan box from Oahu Christian Church (Hawaii), care of Bro. Sammy Lubag, which served as a birthday gift for Rose and the entire Nueva Ecija Church of Christ. Just a coincidence perhaps, as the box has been in the country weeks back, but delivered only just now. The box contains various Christian books and hymnals, intended for CCNE library while the hymn books shall be distributed to the local churches in the province.
Well-wishers from here and abroad lead by her children greeted Rose happy birthday via internet and cellphones, making this day as another momentous event in her life. (30)
