20 November 2009, SM Clark Field, Pampanga - Once again, child Taekwondo champ Kyle Daniel F. Taruc won another Gold medal in the Central Luzon Taekwondo Championship Game today held at the SM Mall in this former US-Military base in Central Luzon. Kyle kicked down his opponents in a 3-level games vying for Gold (starting with Bronze and Silver). What made interesting during this Kyle's fight was, he was matched to a good player Korean Taekwondo kid whom he scored on just a hairline difference of 3-2 in the 2nd round. They tied on the other rounds. For the other 2 opponents, Kyle made it easier to win.
This regional championship game was participated by teams from Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Tarlac and Zambales. It was organized and sponsored by Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) and the SM Mall company. Kyle played for Valenzuela (Bulacan) team this time coached by Sir Ian.
Kyle is set to play in the CLRAA (Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association), a prelude to his goal of making it to the Palarong Pambansa. On-campus, Kyle play for his school, the Ateneo grade school. (Grandad JSF Blogs)
