The Philippine-Sino Center for Agricultural Technology (PhilSCAT) holds today, Dec. 10, its annual Christmas celebration at the Multipurpose Hall of the Center. It was participated by PhilSCAT family members including their spouses and children. Leading the celebration was CLSU Vice-President Raul Divina who, in his message underscored the genuine meaning of Christmas such giving and forgiving, love, humility and meekness.
This Christmas party was a double celebration for PhilSCAT as it coincides with the birthday of its head, Director Romeo Gavino. In his Christmas message, Dir. Gavino gave hope and encourage everyone to continue praying for the approval of Phase II implementation, so it could continue to discharge its mandate of alleviating the plight of Filipino farmers.
Aside from the Christmas messages from CLSU and PhilSCAT officials, the morning program features cash-giving to all children in attendance, and a sumptuous lunch. Afternoon session was devoted to games and bingo socials.

The Philippine-Sino Center for Agricultural Technology (PhilSCAT) is a special R and D agency under the Department of Agriculture. It implements the collaborative program in agriculture and related fields between the Philippines and the People’s Republic of China. This is a transition year for the Center as the Phase I was successfully completed in 2008. Currently, Phase II is still being reviewed by NEDA for subsequent endorsement to the PROC government.
