Blogger Joins 3rd GE NatCon @ Cag. de Oro City

As one of the early proponents of GE/GLE national conference like NatCon, this blogger participated the 3rd NatCon held on Oct. 22-24, 2010 at Chali Beach Resort, Cagayan de Oro City.

Like the first two NatCons, this Convention features speeches from select members of the organization, this time focused on its theme on leadership. Aside from the usual bonding activities and exchanges, the Convention highlighted the ratification of its Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) and the election of new national officers for both Resident and Alumni councils.

This blogger's direct participation was his membership to the Committee on Elections which managed the voting process.

Bro. Amor Gaborno, one of the founders based in Canada tried to participate in this year's Convention via live phonepatch, enabling him to talk to the entire delegates.

In general, the 3rd NatCon was a success, though there were a few hitches and problems encountered, which are expected of any big gatherings like this. Oftenly, these hitches originated from miscoordination and miscommunication.

There was no decision yet on the 4th NatCon, as the new Councils will study yet the new CBL. Let's just hope that it will not start on zero again, or will re-invent the wheel, so to say.

Regardless, Mabuhay ang 3rd NatCon; Mabuhay ang Gamma Epsilon International. (JSF Blogs)
